Today I played a great match, I thought against Andrea Seppi in Madrid, Spain at the Master’s Series event. In the third set, it was Seppi who converted a break point for the win. I felt like I played well, but Seppi is very good on the clay. After the match, I stayed to watch my fellow American James Blake take on Ivo Karlovic; James won and he plays Roger Federer next, so I will stay in Madrid one more day to practice and watch his match. Next up for me is a team event in Dusseldorf, Germany. Eight contries will be represented there and I will be the team captain for the U. S. team. Robbie Ginepri is playing as well. I am waiting to hear if the Bryan Bros. will play. If they don’t play, I am hoping Marty Fish will come play. I am looking forward to getting three quality matches before the French Open the following week. Plus, it’s always fun to play in a team event. I am enjoying Europe so far, but I am pretty excited to get to Paris, my favorite city in Europe!!
